Dr. Tim Reid is a third generation Albany veterinarian following in the footsteps of his grandfather (Dr. George F. Reid) , his uncle (Dr. George R. Reid), and his father (Dr. Richard Reid). He graduated from Washington State University in 1980 with a degree in Biology and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 1988.
Dr. Tim enjoys all facets of small animal medicine and surgery, but is especially drawn to dermatology. Other interests include feline medicine, behavioral issues, and the human-animal bond.
Dr. Reid is active in professional associations such as the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association where he served as President in 2001, as well as the Oregon Animal Health Foundation where he is currently a director and the Christian Veterinary Mission, including one mission to Haiti.
His greatest joy in life is his family: wife Allison, sons’ Richard (wife Katie, grandson Camden), Spencer, Harrison (currently in Veterinary school) (wife Jaclyn), and Sawyer along with Opus their Sphinx cat, Sasa their Vizsla, and JC their Chihuahua.
Another passion of Dr. Tim’s is the community of Albany. He is a long-standing Board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Albany, founding Director of the West Albany Sports Foundation, current Chair of Albany General Hospital Foundation, Past President of the Albany Tennis Club, Past President and current member of the Albany Rotary Club, as well as an Elder for United Presbyterian Church of Albany.
